About the Cryptocurrency Investor

 Ari Paul is a portfolio manager for the University of Chicago’s $7.5 billion endowment.  He manages a “tail hedging” strategy via long volatility investments, supports the chief risk officer in risk management and analytics, and performs research on the characteristics of endowment investments and asset classes.
 
 From 2006 to 2010, Ari was a derivatives market maker with Susquehanna International Group (SIG) in Bala Cynwyd, PA, and a proprietary derivatives trader through 2013.
 

 Ari earned a BA in political science from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in economics, entrepreneurship, strategic management, and econometrics & statistics.  Ari is a CFA charterholder.

  Ari began investing in cryptocurrency in 2014 and slowly gained an understanding of the industry.  Today, Ari invests in exchange traded tokens, initial coin offerings (ICOs), and private placements.  Still a nascent industry, the cryptocurrency space is dominated by developers and daytraders.  Ari brings expertise as a professional capital allocator and provide resources to the most promising projects.
